Electrical Engineer (Junior)

South African firm Altum Energy seeks to appoint a junior graduate electrical engineer to perform a Business Development role in respect of the globally leading Sodium Sulphur (NaS) utility scale battery technology it represents in the region.
The role would involve developing a clear understanding of the technology and its key performance attributes in comparison with competing technologies, and to assist in presenting these to a defined target market of potential buyers.
Beyond representation, the role will require the candidate to work closely with technology partners to develop project specific quotations, and to assist potential customers in the performance and financial modelling of the batteries in respect of various project applications, usually paired with renewable energy generation projects of varying types and scales.
Educational:
Requirements:

Bachelor of Engineering: Electrical
-
High level competence with Excel
It would be an advantage to have additional qualifications in the following areas:

Battery technologies (especially utility scale)
-
Renewable energy generation modelling software such as PVSyst
-
Energy project financial modelling
Experience:
Experience in any form relating to energy storage, battery technologies, and renewable energy generation would be an advantage.
Package:
Junior Engineer, negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
Term:
6-month initial contract, extended based on success
